Margaret, I couldn't read more than about 1/4 to 1/2 of your response. Mainly because you were responding to a letter sent to Emily and not to you. But because your 'persona' was the topic of the letter, you felt justified in rebutting it. So you missed the point that using your earlier letter along with your name as an example was only for reference to bigger processes going on in us all the time.

But you sure feel important now, don't you? You think that you can take all sorts of slights and misunderstandings and glaze them over with your picture-perfect "all people feel" this, and "all people" have had this happen stories and make it all ok. And that was a part of the point I was making to Em. Despite the fact that you might know yourself to be real, the fact is that noone who hasn't had a direct experience of you knows your real and that the point is that they are always responding to their own internal cues and not the real you.

But you make this mean whatever you want in your lovely dramatic universe where everything goes bad one week and is all ok the next week thanks to a calm, cool romantic explanation.

Toodles Marge, do write when you no longer want to swim in your doo-doo.

Eric
