A Miracle means attending to what is miraculous in any situation, and the belief in miracles means agreeing to the principle that expecting the worse and receiving it is not coincidental but in keeping with the workings of the universe. Likewise, when threatened with an unbearable situation anyway, why not expect the miraculous to occur, as if looking out for positive things would somehow spontaneously cause them to occur. I don't practice this (yet) but I don't doubt this either. If you can't name one person who seemed to bring misfortune about himself almost as if by magic, or another who somehow always had "good luck" come his way also as if by magic I'll eat my pants.

So the question is, is it delusionary to keep focus on whatever may be possible, that is in keeping with the faith that possiblities are always present it is merely our inability to perceive them that makes them less apparent, in the hopes of generating a more positive life at the easily expendable cost of giving up one's rudimentary selfish wishes?
