Twos and Fives are polar opposites. There is definitely something wrong with the way she answers. It would probably be best if you psychoanalyzed her closely and drew your own conclusions, since it looks doubtful she has enough self-knowledge to type herself. It's likely, but not necessary, that she is a Six or Nine. Sixes are the most complex type, they can be very outgoing and engaging to withdrawn and scheming. They also tend to be on an emotional rollercoaster, so they can identify with many types. Nines can also identify with other types easily because they merge easily with people, are open-minded, and often don't have enough self-knowledge.

Tests don't always hold the answers. I suggest you try and apply the motivation of each type and see if it would explain her behavior. For example if she is a One does she seem like a person who is strongly motivated in doing the right thing and being perfect? This can manifest as an obsession over cleanliness, criticism about others immoral behavior, etc.

: My friend took the Enneagram test at the back of Richard Rohr & Andreas Ebert's book, Experiencing the Enneagram. It was surprising to me that she had FIVE scoures between 74 and 80 points. One thing I noticed was that many of her answers were either "0" (Completely disagree) OR "6", )Completely agree.) When I went over the test with her, I explained the idea of gradiations, or "on the scale of...
: She understood, however, after going through the first couple of questions again out loud, she still answered in the same black or white, either or manner. After talling her scores, she is either a 1, 2, 5, 6, or 9!!! One thought is perhaps this all or nothing way of thinking is indicatitive of a specific Enneagram number! HELP! If anyone has insight into this, please let me know.
: Meanwhile, I will have her look at the Enneagram test offered on this site.
: Thanks. Jeanne from Md.
