I am not 'asking' for someone to legitimize my feelings for God's sakes. I AM NOT saying that my feelings have no legitimacy until an outside source says it ok to feel that way! I know I can feelthe way I feel for God's sakes. What an exaggerated reaction to an innocent comment!
When someone is upset, and someone else says 'I know how you feel', I think you are feeling this _ ' It feels good. Someone is empathizing with me and it feels good, alright! And she was reminding me what I was probably feeling - where the feelings were coming from - and she was partly right. So I was glad someone was able to see that.
Don't psychoanalize me to death! Don't read into it. Because that is exactly what you are doing.
