I'm unemployed too, though I define myself as a student. I'm studying throug the Open University, (correspondence degree modules with some classes). I could do it part time but I've chosen to do it full time. I also give English lessons privately which you don't have to be qualified to do and I do cleaning twice a week. I don't mind being unemployed, but it's different if you really want a job. Units can be done online from American universities. This one I'm doing is paying for my studies as I'm unemployed. Here (England) many evening classes or adults are free or cheap to unemployed people. The problem is if you're expecting to get a job a any minute, settling into doing anything. You might try helping out with teaching basic English to adults if you are bored. I'm not sure what you mean by scattered; surely that's better than suffering monotony. Maybe you just mean you don't feel you're doing anything worthwhile?
