I find the sooner that you accept that life is unfair that the pressure goes. At the end of the day, you have choices and your choice might be to go to Canada, or it might be to respond differently or it might be to stick it out while you look for a place that appreciates you. From what I can glean, you have tried a number of ways to get through to people and it hasn't worked. So you need to accept it or keep trying for a new strategy. I personally would not use email to point out the differences or ask for a raise. I do use email if there is a potentially legal situation whereby my actions need to be documented. I would suggest finding a mentor who has gone through similar situations - you might know someone who you could ask or you might join a women's business group and find one there. "If you always do what you have always done, then you will always get what you've always got" applies. Good luck. Use your anger and frustration and direct this anger into positive actions for youself. I think women face a particularly hard time but let that make you a tougher and a better person but not bitter. If it is totally not redeemable, get out. Take care of yourself.
