Most everyone loves their home, problems and all. In America we have crime and auto accidents (and now terrorism) to worry about; you have Chernobyl-type reactors and former-soviet heroin-addicted Homer Simpson nuke operators. Still, in your circumstances I would seriously consider relocating to somewhere I felt might be statistically safer at least.
