: ### Good question. I actually asked myself that when I wrote it and ended up putting "somewhat". I think I mean I like to think men don't see you first and foremost as a sex object but value the other qualities of you as a person. In a systemic fashion, that then contributes to women not being as well recognized for their abilities (all clouded by the sex thing)and in extreme situations such as pornography, a dehumanising aspect which can infiltrate the subconscious and lead to a lack of conscience in some men who then treat women badly.
: Of course, men's sexual drive is driven by an instinctual urge to procreate to further the species but it would be nice to see men who have this instinct in control and balance it with true love and compassion for their fellow humans. Sharlee

part of the reason why i disagree with pornography is that it cheapens what should otherwise be considered rare and beautiful. of course porn/semi-porn is often stuffed down our throats, so it's sometimes difficult to react emotionally rather than physically to a female in the beginning... it usually takes time. however, personally, though my first reaction to a female is physical, i rarely (if ever) desire sexual relations upon meeting them. my main goal is to connect mentally and emotionally with them so that i can understand both them and the female gender better. only then would i consider sexual relations with them, as my belief is that sex should only happen love is also present, and love is a connection that transcends the physical.
