Look. We're both stuck. 30 and 31 and not married, no kids.
Okay, so big deal? So we deal with it, you know? We're both grown-ups about this whole thing, right? (Right.) We can handle this - it's not like we haven't been able to handle anything else - right? (Right.)
So - let's just 'chill out', calm down, and take it easy on ourselves.
There are lots of people out there in unhappy marriages with kids they don't even want.
Think about it this way - had we had all rushed right into it - we could have been one of them.
But we're not. We both waited to find someone who is interested in aproaching building a family together slowly, but surely, steadily, and for the long term, not short term.
When you think about it - we did not do such a bad thing after all.Okay?
And we'll both get there someday. Someday we'll find someone interested in us - someone who's interested in us enough to hold out for the long term - which is what we have both been waiting for anyway.
Meantime, we just need to be strong, that's all. And what I mean by strong is strong enough to love others and not get all caught up in our selfishness, that's all.
