I hope that silk company goes out of business or lost a lot of customers after Dateline aired that segment about children who were close to being slaves for the sake of captialists to profit on silk that they suffer over. I think the name of the company is called Nelli. Will you tell me how could I find out where to shop and where to not shop because I don't want to support slavery.

> Oh man I saw that too...that was horrible. I don't purchase silk or leather or wear them either.

FP: I try not buy those things either. My father gave me his leather coat before he died, which has sentimental value. I am not sure what my black boots from Payless is made out of. It looks similar to steel toes work boats, except a lot cheaper and cuter! This is about my 3rd or 4th pair so far. I buy them after a year or so (whenever I have a hole for over a month! LOL).

Boot History

FP: This is how it started. I was looking for some solid black sneakers or tennis shoes and could not find one to my satisfaction, so I started to look at the black boots in Payless and tried them on which was about $15. It was the first time I ever purchased boys shoes for myself! I wear 5 to 5 1/2 in boys. It felt so great that I could not believe it, so I purchased them and like how they made me feel and was hooked every since! I think that was in 1999. Perfect for riding the bus at that time. :op This year, I finally changed to another style of the same type of boot, almost identical twins, that was water resistent. LOL I did try the black baby doll type of shoes as an attempt to look more feminine, but they lasted for a while then got lop sided. I didn't see another pair, so I went back to the boots.

SWEAT SHOP LINK & MB

FP: Thanks for your link! I add it in my favorites in my computer and made a new folder to put it in and called it Human Rights.

FP: I gave Diarm a link to what we can do about it. He is a smart guy and his rhetoric is thought provoking, somewhat, but it lacks actual practical solutions of what we can do, so I guess, his only intentions is to plant seeds in our minds. He mostly gave what we should not do and possibilities of what we can do if it was available, which lead me to look more into your link to seek the practical balance.

FP: I have no problem with rhetoric, but I also like some direct practical solution that produces results as well as we have seen in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's example. He was balanced with creative rhetoric and practical results. I don't understand why Myers and Briggs believe people are either creative rhetorical dreamers (N) or practical result realists (S) when I think both are equally important in their own right. Dr. King had a dream (visionary) and he took action and deal with reality of the situation (responder). I was hoping Diarm was going to do the same. :op
