I suppose what you are dealing with Raz, is a culture of socialising that goes back thousands of years and that's a hell of a history of approval to break (Jesus Christ drank wine). Personally, I find a few glasses of alcohol relieve the inner critic of the type 1 and as as such I find it beneficial (otherwise I would be really anal!). But I do not doubt the destructiom it causes when it is used to excess. I would need to know more about the addictiveness of other drugs before I supported their legality as I think we have enough to deal with in the "legal" drugs as you say.
