Alot of the past posters on here are vegetarian/vegan. I have recently joined the ranks.

This is the first site I have ever been just totally wrapped up and fascinated with. The site does not tell you how to be a vegetarian so much as how not to do it. Just what I was looking for. I know in general that I want to eat a wide variety of foods.... And I have generally had a vague idea of how to categorize my "plant" foods nutritionally. But this site gives me in-depth information I crave. (Ie., After visiting places like rawvegan.com and sunfood.com, I became suspicious that people don't thrive off the diets as they advertise: First reason would be that your body is made of amino acids and fruits really don't provide that many, and certainly not much of a variety. And grains, which are technically fruits but don't really seem to be advertised as part of a raw food regimen, seem vital -- like the first food that civilization thrived on invariably.) How much of a concern are Mailliard molecules, and would we live 50 more years if only we got rid of them? This site is fascinating because it puts a lot of "doom-and-gloom" dietary ideas into perspective. As you might garner from this, the site does not necessarily advocate vegetarianism itself, but does provide tools for planning your own diet.

If this is the first vegetarian site you've ever read, balance it with meat.org.

Glad to make my last post here ever a site recommendation. :)
