On the movieboard I'm just another poster. As a moderator I tried to encourage people to voice their opinions on the board, but if they had something to say to me personally, I asked them to email me.
The end result was that everyone posted on the board only and emailed everyone else but me. My bright idea didn't work. So, now as I'm just another poster, why wouldn't I do what everyone else does?
