: : It's just that I call into question the reasons behind the way the posts made, i.e. the purposeful misspelling of words, etc. It seems to me that the "errors" in the spelling and grammar are not very consistent, leading me to beleive that the goal is to make the posts harder to understand.
: Well, to me it seems that the grammar used is fairly consistent. I wouldn't call it 'errors in grammar' but a non-standard grammar.
The point is that these are mistakes that are made purposely, to confuse the reader.
: : If someone has something that they want to contribute to the boards, shouldn't they either:
: : A.) Make an attempt to ensure that their message gets across to as many people as possible, as this IS a message board open to public?
: : B.) NOT go out of their way to misspell words and use diffucult to understand diction?
: Was that an example of it?
No, because I didn't go out of my way to do it. It was a natural mistake, unlike those in question.
: : And I don't know about Emily, but I personally could do without your arrogant/sarcastic comments pointing to your incredibly uncanny ability to read and interpret the various forms of the English language.
: I am arrogant and sarcastic and whatnot when talking to arrogant people on a 'mission'. I don't think my ability to read and interpret various form of English is anything incredible. If you find it incredibly uncanny, I have nuffink against it, mate.
Fair enough.
: : I'm just saying, there's no reason for anyone to have to read a post aloud to understand it. I'm suggesting a simple rule for this board, the rule simply being, "Don't be a jackass."
: Define a 'jackass'.
Well, I'm not sure it necessarily needs to be defined. This is a board meant for free discussion, which I think is a bit different than a free-for-all. I'm suggesting that while the other boards (save the care board) are meant for enneagram/personality discussion, this board was put in place not as a haven for people who get off on seeing their name and words on the screen, but where people cam have reasonable discussions that are outside the realm of enneagram and personality. And on this specific issue, I don't see how Ferrantino's posting style contributes anything but confusion at best, at worst, mindless clutter.
So, whatever. If I'm alone on this, then I'm alone.
