Enneagram Movie Board Archive some more charactersPosted by Jan (213.75.36.148) on August 25, 2002 at 13:17:03: In Reply to: post-view: must-see-film! posted by Jan (213.75.36.148) on August 25, 2002 at 13:06:35: The voice-over of the movie is a funny example of a compulsive personality (Conscientious Style), who tries to get a hold on the chaos of life by making all everyday things measurable. Another very interesting example of a character style we don't see often in US movies is the nagging guy at the cafe (Leisurely Style/negativistic personality). The woman who sells cigarettes and is allergic to almost everything seems to be Sensitive Style (perhaps her somatization is her way of interacting with people, of getting attention and sympathy). I would say that the man Ameli falls in love with is Adventurous Style, the guy seems to have a underdeveloped shame-function, trying to collect private photo's and working at a porno shop. The woman-seller at this shop also seems to be Adventurous Style. The lonely lady who is whining and melancholic/depressive about a love long lost could be Serious Style. The old painter with the fragile bones could be a old Adventurous or Mercurial Style character. Jan
