Yes, the case could be that reality is really tragic and that Serious Style people lack the 'positive distortion' of more superficial styles like Dramatic Style. Every style has something to contribute and is good at something and because of that also 'dumb' at other things. The world would be better if people either accepted themselves or other people more as they are and not on how others have to be (often taking our own personal standards as the target of personal development). The teamrole theory of Meredith Belbin is very good because of this basic axiom.
