I have very mild OCD ticks - minor nags that affect me mainly when I'm alone and subdued. I can control them, and they don't really bother me if I don't want them to. Also, they're purely tactile-kinesthetic, having nothing to do with preventing or expelling obsessive thoughts. Yet I can imagine what it must be like to have a severe case of this disorder. I suppose it would be a truly sickening pain, like Chinese water torture.
