> The Philosopher looks a bit like George W. Bush Jr.'s character: 'With fists raised and determination coiled, they wage their own ware of independence against a 'one-size-fits-all' (muslim?) world', they adopt a boxer's stance for dealing with others'. They put up resistance, they are headstrong, mulish and disdainful of rules, but also easily hurt and sensitive. They are perceived as 'loose cannons', not able to work within the system, 'think for yourself'-attitude: 'Question Authority!'; contempt and for authority, rudely honest critics, anger experts, they hurt your feelings, they can't devote anyone or applaud anyone. they question the materialist dream, are entirely self-determining, asking tough 'why?'questions and 'why not', they are critical towards employer/employee relations (un-equitable) and demand autonomy, refuse any person or policy not in sync with their own, , anti-establishment, rebel against authority, even threaten authority, individuals who are tough and don't give in.

> This is a better description of the Contrary-Leisurely Style than that of Oldham! It matches with Millon's Negativistic Personality too.

Hello Jan:
First, this defination is much more how I experience the Contrary-Leisurely. Awareness of power arrangements, and the un-equitable advantages that the powerful have...!

The question I have is this: which side of the Contrary-Leisurely is its heart? Is it 1 The desire to be free of outside authority & control one's destiny, or 2 a search for comfort & enjoy one's free time without responsibility for anyone else ? Rich
