What I forgot to say was that, in my opinion, the idea of assigning a particular talent to a particular type is probably
misguided. What separates the types is not what they do but the way that they do it. An Eight can bring a completely
different perspective to academic work than a Five can, to speak of an area that I know about. I'm told by one enneagram
teacher that the head of sales of a major UK company is a Nine, and very good at it. Dafyd
