Hello Jan:
Chicago- This is the best movie, my wife and I have seen in the last 2 months! Its a musical that works. ( The songs are part of the story. ) The cynicism is wonderful!
The Emperor's Club- A good drama about a Conscientious Style history teacher, who has an amoral Self-Confident pupil, he cann't reform....

Of Professional Interest to You
About Schmidt- Jack Nicolson is great as a Conscientious-Serious Styles who is a functional schzoid. He retrires and ( finally ) has to deal with life; somwehat. This movie many find depressing!
Catch Me If You Can- Comedy about a teenage con man.( The viewer get to see how the cons are done! ) Tom hanks is great as a Conscientious FBI man. Christopher Walken is also great as a compensatory narcissist, who dreams of a big score, but doesn't have the talent....

2 light comedys:
2 Week's Notice: Latest Hugh Grant movie, see my review of 12-30-2002.Good clean fun.
Maid In Manhattan. Also good clean fun; has a lot of big names....

2 to Avoid:
Gangs of New York- Fablous recreation of New York City 1846-1863. Non stop violence. DUMB PLOT. Bad acting.
Adaption-Some parts are very good, but a self indulgent project. Great to see once
There are more, but these are making money In L A , right now....Rich
