Third Watch tv series (2002)

This series shows us quite some Self Sacrificing Style characters. Surely firefighter Alex Taylor is a such a character; helping other people in need out of burning buildings even if it means that this ‘superwoman’ / hero has to sacrifice her own life to do it.
Claudio Naranjo has made the connection between depressive personalities and masochistic/self defeating/sacrificing characters, which can bes een with Kim; she’s a warm , altruisitic, empathic woman who allways has a melancholic tinge in her eyes. One can easily feel sorry for her ‘fate’ and feel sympathy towards her: serving others interests seem to prevail about pursuing her own interests.
