> Yes he was all that, I agree. He was definately a type 8. But still, he had a notorious reputation of being agreeable with people even when he disagreed with them. He abhorred open argument and face to face conflict. To me, these traits speak more of a 9wing than a 7wing. Maybe I am confusing what the 7wing is supposed to add to the type as opposed to the 9wing. But aren't 8w7s known more for head to head conflict, and an openness for direct argumentation? Or are you saying that his agreeableness was merely an adaptive method for gaining even more control than would a lesser 8w7?

Hello Charlie:
I'm historian, and the historical FDR seems more like 8W9, to me too. FDR was such a self contained person, that no one can seem to figure him out.... Considering how powerful he was as president, we are left to explain why he was so agreeable, charming ,and why people liked being with him! I mentioned Riso typing him as a 8W7, because some people always want to know what the " experts " have to say.

The historical record seem to show a rich man, with a lot of lucky breaks through 1932.... When FDR became president, a much different person seems to emerge.... All parts of the same person? Did he pretend to be something he wasn't? FDR has been dead going on 60 years, and still there is no good standard explanation! Rich
