Risk taking behavior and Big Five factors

I wonder why the USA Version puts risk taking/thrill seeking behavior under the factor Openness. I would think it would better fit with Extraversion because extraverts have high need of stimuli (flashy clothes, loud music, 'this is sooo boring!'); and therefore allways want something new and different to experience.

anybody can explain?
