There seems to be a strange consensus about the Enneatype of the Rose character. On second thoughts doubts came to creep into my mind. Let's say your enneatype X (any type less E4); you have a lust for life; but feel deeply frustrated. Your mother is a stern loveless E1 who only thinks about her own things and strings you into a rigid way of life. Your fiancee is an ruthless Ee who wants to marry you because of status reasons (show girl with nobility ancestors). You are not in contact with young girls like yourself. WHO WOULDN'T GET FRUSTRATED AND DEPRESSIVE? So the point I want to make is that depression is something that is largely situationally determined and can happen to anybody. Too easily we type self-pity characters immediately as E4's. I think Rose is NOT an E4. I would like to get your opinions on my discussion question: suppose that you were wrong (hypothetically of course) and Rose is not an E4; what would be the enneatype you allocate to her?
