: I feel a compulsion to get this right so here goes... Ah, a fellow One! : Alley: 4w3 Sexual (competition, envy) subtype. ENFP You spelled the main character's name wrong! Aargh! ;-) I'm not sure that I agree with that. David Kelley is said to have based Ally on his wife, Michelle Pfeiffer, who is (according to Thomas Condon) a 5w6 . . . and even to have selected an actress who looks like a younger version of Pfeiffer. Ally is melodramatic, like a Four, but she is also nervous and jittery like a Six. Perhaps the character is written with one Type while the actress has another, and confusion arises. Condon gives an example of this with Gregory Peck's performance in _MacArthur_ (One actor, Eight character); I think that George Clooney is a Nine playing a Seven on _ER_ (and Mark Harmon was a Three playing a One on the wonderful but almost immediately cancelled _Charlie Grace_). [snip] : Renee: Its like she has no type, so lets call her 9w8! LOL! I have several close friends who are Nines, and they can be incredibly frustrating to deal with -- "Blink twice if any of this is getting through!" -- John Fast jfast@fastindustries.com or caliban@gate.net ENTJ/1w2 "Raise consciousness, not taxes."
