: : Claudio Narango points out that the E7 has two opposite subtypes: idealistic visionary dreamer as well as joking materialistic egoistic narcissist. I think this is wrong: that many extroverted joking narcissistic playful E3 party men/women are wrongly typed as E7 hedonists. Take the case of Faceman from the A Team series (same character is seen as the neighbour of Al Bundy in Married with Children); Faceman is rather lazy; he doesnt want his fashion suit get dirty, he's the ultimate narcissist. Same with Al Bundy's neighbour; also lazy but very narcissistic. Both cases show no signs of innovative visions. I think that the ultimate hallmark of E3 is getting applause and admiration from others; there is one E3 species which is mostly work-a-holic and another which is narcissistic and no worker at all. I would type both Faceman and All's neighbour as E3 now. What do you think? Let me know!

: >>An ESFP (FP) 3 would fit that description. Someone like Eddie Murphy. No-one loves him more than himself. SJ or NT 3's would tend to have a more work orientated nature.
: >>Mick Jagger 3w4 is a life time hedonist. He would be easy to mistake as a 7 if one knew not his personality fits the 3 mold. Keith Richards is a 7.
+++ Yes! That's what I think too. This means a lot of the enneagram texts about 7 pointing to happy-chappy extroversion are wrong. I guess E7's are more close to E9; and to introversion/non assertiveness. Can you agree with this?
