Jack Kerouac and Bruce Chatwyn - .... 'On the Road' ... to 'Patagonia' - 2 'escapist' E7/6 authors.

I've just seen 2 documentaries, one on each of the above writers. Gotta be brief & run!.......

Bruce Chatwyn - Mostly famous for his travel books.
"Movement is the mainspring of life." (from his 1980's book 'Songlines'),
He was called by some acquaintances "Bruce Chatterbox" (E7s tend to be 'motormouths').
When he worked at Sotheby's art auctioneers "to do a Bruce" meant to take a mundane object,
wrap a myth around it and spin a romantic story around that (E7 charletan - see Naranjo).
All this activity (say many of his friends) was a defence system to hide his innerself (inner contradictions/neuroses) from himself and others.

Jack Kerouac, like Bruce, was mercurial, an adventurer, a restlress quester, versatile, quick-minded (head-enneatype) author.
Looks to me like another E7/6.
