: Excellent movie. Wish I could say that about most films...

: Character Analysis.

: Kevin Spacey - Lester Burnham E9. He's just a typical guy, pretty much just fits in, does his work, then integrates to E3 by being assertive and enjoying what is rightfully his. Kind of a dirty old man, but a good hero nonetheless.

Agree

: Annette Benning - Carolyn Burnham E3. Definately. Goal-oriented, materialistic, needs to convince everyone she's successful. Listens to "self-powering" audio tapes.

3w2, 2w3....:)

: Jane - I'm not so sure she's an E4. She Does have 4ish qualities, but she's more so the typical teenage girl. She wasn't particularily insightful, and used a lot of teenie words, like Alicia Silverstone in Clueless! She was a rather undescriptive character, so it would be difficult to analyze her. I never met an E4 who was as shallow and plain as her though.

I think she was a 4

: Col. Fitz - E6 counterphobic who is very paranoid "Did you invite anyone over???" At the end, you can see how fearful he really is, when he finally expresses his repressed homosexual curiosity (which, by the way I guessed!). He also addresses himself as "Colonel" from the USMC, presuming because he is particularily proud to be affiliated with the Marines.

Very mutch agree.

: Mrs. Fitz - E9? Very narcotized. Not much to say about her.

Agree

: Ricky Fitz - Difficult character but I would go with E9. Maybe it's because he wasn't "realistic" is why it's difficult to type him. Actually I found him to be more E4 than Jane. He was quiet, sensitive, weird...although got along fine with people. I think an E4 or E5 would have more problems. Also, he totally went along with his dad. He appreciated the beauty in every day life, which is a quality of E9s.

I think he was an E-5

: Jane's Friend - E3. Yes very manipulative and narcissistic. More of an E3 than Bening's character Carolyn. She lied when she said she's f---ed alot of guys, and her greatest fear was of being ordinary. That may sound E4ish, but its more in line of an E3 being better than everyone else. E4s want to be unique, E3s want to be better.

I think E-2

: Buddy Kane - E3 Realtor guy. Yes, the most E3ish character of them all. "If you want to be successful, you have to look successful" or something. Also he refers to himself as the "King", so he was quite narcissistic.

I think he seemed a bit sevenish to, but okay...3......
