Enneagram Movie Board Archive Re: Jan, Sensitive is E6!Posted by Perciever on March 19, 2000 at 17:57:24: In Reply to: Jan, Sensitive is E6! posted by Cory on March 17, 2000 at 22:15:14: You mean to tell me you are in INFP and a 6? How come you and ronnie have such a hard time : Today I got Character and Neurosis by Naranjo, as you mentioned him down below. I must say I was very impressed by the book, and has restored my faith in the Enneagram. : "I wonder if the E-types can be seen as basic 'colors'; and real people are best represented by Oldham types : I agree. That's probably why I like Naranjo because his system fits well with Oldham. Anyways, Naranjo lists Sensitive (Avoidant) as E6, unlike Riso who wrongly assigns that to E4. I thought I was an E4 all this time because Riso screwed me up! I'm definitely a phobic 6w5 after reading Naranjo. : The issues of Sensitive style are all directly related to fear - that the self is inadequate and of the environment. Actually, the inadequacy feeling comes after. The person fears the environment, and thus withdraws from it. After a while they don't develop social skills or can't relate to anybody and as a result may think something is wrong with them. : Interesting though, that Naranjo lists Self-Sacrificing (Self-Defeating/Masochistic) disorder to E4, which everyone else thought was E2 and E9. And Naranjo's E2 and E9 are much different from Riso's. : E6 Disorders: Sensitive (Avoidant), Vigilant (Paranoid), Devoted (Dependent), Non-Oldham Type (Paranoid-Compulsive) : I think for the Enneagram to work, it needs to be like this. Riso mixed too much stuff around and misinterpreted everything. The Enneagram doesn't seem so bad after reading Naranjo. : -Cory
