: : Is there any MBTI-veteran who can say something about my hypothesis that Batman represents the ISTP archetype? I've read Andy's message of a link between psychopatic persons and ISTP. I've seen many writers associate ISTP with E5 but I think there is a problem here in that E5's like to think things out before starting action and the ISFP is an on the spot troubleshooter loving risky and exciting situations; generating a 'who was that masked man'-feeling? Also the ISTP hates 'theorizing' and loves action (grease monkey using little words; like The Fonz in Happy Days; being a car mechanic). Also the natural talent for handling tools (like Marlboro man John Wayne) seems to suggest E8. My hypothesis II is that ISFP could be (counterfobic) E6. Anybody can say something sensible on my guestimates?

: John Wayne was an 8. More likely an ESTJ though.

: In my experience with ISTP's, I've known a few...they are in my mind the type most given under the right circumstances to antisocial, law defiant and devious behaviors. They do go for sports and manual labor jobs. I do know a 7w6 who is a masters student in public health.
: But these guys get crazy if they are not mentally healthy. Especially if they have an 8 component.

: Batman is guess is the ISTP.
+++ I know a female ISTP who is like a bullet; she's attracted to difficult situations in companies but when things are to red tapy and people don't do what she says she just gets away and goes to another company in crisis (Just like Gotham with The Joker and The Penguin). Also they test you; another intimidating female ISTP suggested that she saw ghosts; and watched how I reacted.
