Enneagram Movie Board Archive You cannot...Posted by Gigi on February 21, 2000 at 19:43:06: In Reply to: Re: To Cory and Ronnie.... posted by Ronnie on February 21, 2000 at 17:59:35: ... rule out 1 and 3 so easily! Besides what happened to 6? This is really absurd. I *never* said one can decide from *short texts.* I said with long-time posters one can *sense* the type from reactions, arguments, reasoning, etc. But one can never be too sure. Really, don't put words into my mouth! Any reasonable person who has studied the Egram to some extent and who has been around this site a bit should know better. I explained about myself in my post a bit to emphasize the point that one has to know much more in order to pinpoint the person in Jan's post. Cheers Gigi : First of all: 4, 5, 9 and 7 can be excluded right away. "Charisma and authority" combined with "instinct to trust people" exclude 6 in this context. : So, you have 1, 3 and 8 left of the most probable types. Perceiving the strenght and weaknesses in others is a defining healthy eight trait. "Singularily free from jealousy" rules out 3. What you have left is 1 and 8 and of them eight is more likely. Healthy ones have charisma too, but the focus here is in the ability to get the group work and having good leadership capabilities, not being idealistic and having a vision. It's just the general feeling that rules out 1. : So, you have 8 left. Obviously an 8w9. Now you might ask why "obviously", but it's very easy to tell an 8w7 and 8w9 apart. The difference is obvious and very clear and here it shows up as "unassertiveness" and being dominant but not domineering. An 8w7 would want to run the show more. : Btw, wasn't it you who said the deciding types from short texts is possible and good guesses are better than nothing? Besides that, you're an iNtuitive...I would've expected you to see "through" the description more. : Ronnie
