I think Gigi's own list comes closest to capturing a list of movies that are both entertaining and that have made a substantial impact. Sounds like others mostly listed the films they enjoyed the most, which is understandable since most people don't have a fair knowledge of pre-1970's or even 1980's material (myself included). If it were just a matter of which movies I thought were good I'd list mostly foreign and indie films (Happiness and Pulp Fiction are both good choices, which I left out for reason of popular impact). Julian : ...we have seen in our lives up to now since the century and the millenium is ending. Anyway, thanks for the invitation, Gigi. : I offer we choose movies which are *good* and have made an impact in the movie industry. : At the moment I have top 20. I will shorten it later: : Rear Window : Rebel Without A Cause : Psycho : West Side Story : Bonnie and Clyde : The French Connection : Godfather : The Conversation : One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest : Alien : 2001- Space Odyssey : Taxi Driver : Annie Hall : Deer Hunter : Blade Runner : Dead Poets' Society : Braveheart : Pulp Fiction : Fargo : Contact : : What about your list? As I am writing these down I keep thinking about the ones I have left behind. : Gigi
