His wife looks E6-ish (practical question; how do you go to the bathroom in space?) : : Kevin Bacon plays Jack Swigert - E3? : laidback swinger, eager beaver 'Yes!!' type; 'Don't worry guys, I am on top of it' Womanizer out of 'status' motives? Status conscious; he doesn't want to get the (public) blame. : Bill Paxton plays Fred(do) Haise- E4 : On the surface: playing the joker, focus on sexual experience. But during the flight and in crisis we see that he has an underlying focus towards the dark and dangerous; explaining before tv the thickness of the cabin walls (equalling three foils of aluminium paper.) He's called Mr. Know it All by Jim who wants to lighten up the situation (being an E7) Fred vomits and doesn't seem to fit in the Nasa world.
