My E8 friends are protective of their friends, prone to snapping, obsessed with doing things by the clock, have to have the last word and get very threatened if someone disagrees with them. Christianity to me, seems primarily the religion of the scapegoat, with Jesus as the scapegoat and later his followers. It is Twoish in the emphasis on sacrifice in the sense of giving, but as we know, the idea of laying down ones life for ones friends, went a bit further than that - and I don't just mean that it went to the ultimate sacrifice of death, but that it involved a kind of theological projection process whereby according to Pauline theology, Jesus bore everyones sins, and was 'made sin'(Paul). These are tricky matters to discuss and I suggest if you want to take it further, we adjourn to the Fourboard, as it isn't strictly about any particular film portrayal.
