The description of compensatory narcissism sounded a lot like narcissism, but this clearly differentiates Inventive from Self-Confident. I have a question though; Are your type correlations fixed? I mean, other types besides 3w4s and ENTPs can be Inventives, the 3w4 ENTP is just the "basic" prototype? I'm not too sure about my enneagram type (probably 4), but I'm sure I would score very high for this style.

I can deeply identify with this point. I also like to flaunt this idealized personality around.

Yes, sounds a lot like me. But, isn't this an introverted statement? I see the Inventive type as being primarily XNXP. I think it's the Extraverted iNtuition which gives the Inventive their unique personality.

In certain places I can crave attention. For example, if I have a chance to show off my skills, like theatre in high school, I can give it style and flair. And even online, I tend to show off as well.

Yes, pretty much like me.

You know me all to well! Intelligence is one of the major self-image idealizations...although I might say creativity and imagination are the most prized. Intelligence and insight next.

This sounds like the reacting-to-the-present SPs.
:
Somewhat like me.

Again, somewhat like me.

Very much like me. What value do I have if I am plain and normal?

This is extremely like me. I wonder, perhaps I am not of the Sensitive style after all, since both styles can be self-conscious? Anyways, it's a great description, I can see myself in it.
Congratulations!
