I've seen this type referred to as the schizoid-narcissist, and I think of it as "schizoid" narcissism. In my system I have this type as the closest to the 5w6, my type, the Solitary. In addition, in England, Fairbairn is famous for his theory of the "Schizoid" type, which from over here looks like what Kohut calls the Narcissistic and what we think of as the 3w4. I find it gratifying that you perceive the 3w4s "Fiveness."
