Hi again Dave, I find the NEO-PIR to be very reliable in comparing yourself to test results of comparable people. However as with most questionnaires; it only works when people want it to work. So when I tested collegues at work it often made for different results when re-testing the person a year later. However when councelling people in complete privacy situations this was not so much the case. The richness of the NEO is in the enormous spectrum of sub-scales; your really get a very detailed picture of the person; which makes the classification systems look a bit silly sometimes because you are confronted with the absolute uniqueness of every individual person. That being said when you test a lot of people you can identify graph forms that are more than accidental about the same shape. It's very time consuming to analyze the basic forms because of the sheer amount of shapes. However I'f found some extremely look alike shapes when seen on the big five level of abstraction. I don't use the book's results at present much since I want first to get to my own conclusions; and then look at the books table. Jan
