: ENTJ 3w4 Self-Confident

DISAGREE....That guy Rich is a Five...5w4...an integrated Five...I didn't see any of the show until the last episode...then a couple of the reruns..
I've also heard him on some talk shows...and in most interviews...he always says...that no one "knows" the "real" Richard..you might think Three when you hear this..but I dont think a Three would say something like that...a Three might unconsciously project this...but a Five would purposely "hold back" the real self...(AVARICE)..It's a given he is a Thinking type..also control is an issue with him as with many Fives....and while you might associate control with Eights or even Twos..Fives control with STRATEGY..They solve situations with their "heads"...and they are generally forthright with others as to their plans..as Richard obviously was...Many of the people on the island have spoken to Richard's "apparent" and "obvious" plan to win "the game" and that he never wavered...and that they respected him for it....It was all thought out ahead of time with him...a Three would have wavered in stress..feelings would get in the way..a Five would stay up in his head..and stick to the mental plan..

: He won because of STRATEGY! He was the only Survivor there that really thought ahead. He was always accused of trying to THINK things out instead of DOING them. When they first landed, he immediately started drawing up a plan which annoyed the others (the SPs).

: Sue, the hardened Wisconsin truck driver was an ESTP 8w7. Now, she was a lady of action. Richard, the winner, he won because of NT brains and wit, not SP action and improvisation.

: He was obviously a 3 though. I say 3w4 because he was a bit reserved, despite being an extravert. It's possible he could've been INTJ, but I'm confident that he was an NTJ type.

: Actually, I have his real e-mail address and I'll email asking his type. His line of work involves getting along with others at the job and such, so I'm sure he's heard of MB or Enneagram.

AGREE.. That Sue and Rudy were both Eight..also interesting to see two different Eights in close quarters and how they contrast..Sue was very much the more emotional type...classic 8w7..sore loser..prone to lash out to a percieved "unfairness"...a "thinking" wing in combination with her core type....Rudy...rooted in the "gut" triad..8w9.."what you see is what you get"....simple... almost childlike...but what the two have in common...if you listen to them or see them...is that they both speak and interact without any "filter"...as if they both don't really care about reaction to them...as if feelings and thoughts don't get in the way...

: The other survivors...
: Rudy, the ex-Navy Seal, 8w9 ISTJ Vigilant
: Sean, the goofy, idiotic doctor, 6w7 ESFP Leisurely
: Gervase, the LAZY black guy, 9w8 ISTP Leisurely
: Colleen, the airheaded but lovable hottie, 7w6 ESFP Leisurely
: Jenna, the other airheaded but lovable hottie, 7w6 ESFP Dramatic

: The rest I'm not too sure about.

: One thing that is very interesting is the obvious typological split between Tagi and Pagong. The Final Four (Rich, Sue, Kelly, and Rudy) all seem to be Thinkers. The majority of Pagong were Feelers. Tagi was goal-oriented (better camp, better survival) and Pagong was relationship-oriented (too loyal to make alliances, very playful and friendly interpersonally).

: The reason Pagong lost was because of too many Feelers and Perceivers I think. Tagi realized that to play the game, you'll have to make strategic alliances. Richard, by the way, was the mastermind behind the alliances and co-ordinated his win. Actually, Pagong should've won if they were more strategic! Both teams merged at 5 and 5 each. The Tagi alliance was only 4 people. If everyone in Pagong decided on voting a specific person in Tagi off, they would've outvoted them 5 to 4. Personally, I would've immediately voted Rich off because he posed the most serious threat. Next would be Sue, then Kelly, then Sean, and finally Rudy. Because Pagong did not ally, all their votes were broken up, and the Final Four voted Gretchen off (who, in my mind, deserved being the winner because she was the best all-around - personality, skill, strategy, etc.)
