Conscientious style seems to be a better choice after all; these people tend often to be dependent; letting others decide things for them. I know such a person who voluntary became a non-promoted pupil at school; which is a parallel with rejecting a job with more responsibilities. Often Conscientious Style people have a inner-conflict between urges of dependence and independence. I guess the enneatype 1 style is not such a good label for many Conscientious Style persons, because it often is associated with assertiveness which is more likely to be found with Serious Style persons. Characteristic for Conscientious Style persons in todays society is that they have problems with the speed and dynamics of change of business processes; being rigid out of security reasons.
