: It was the first ever episode of "E! True Hollywood Stories" that made no mention of illegal substances. : He really seems like a strange guy to make out. He started in film as a teenager, and did a documentary film about a nephew or something who had a really rare and fatal disease for a college class...ended up winning an academy award for it as a director. Went on to a more prestigios film school, but disdained it and decided to try his hand at stand-up comedy. From what I hear, it was some pretty raunchy stuff at times. : I believe next he got a gig hosting some morning tv show, but his style was too racy and weird for that audience, (or so the managers deemed). : THe next logical step was to audtition for the part of Danny Tanner on Full House. WHAT??!?!? : That's what happened, according to the show I watched. They had already filmed a pilot with a different guy playing the father, but tried Saget and they immediately switched. Apparently they all became really close on the show... he became like a surrogate father to the 4 girls... But he got in trouble with their real parents a lot because he would be telling dirty jokes in their presence.... (Interesting side-note is that Candace Cameron, who played the eldest daughter later married Russian-born hockey player Valeri Bure, younger brother of star Russian forward Pavel Bure, who happens to be my favorite player.) : Anyway, I heard too that he didn't like having to play the role of the straight-laced father much.. Which is why the fact that he took on the job of hosting and writing that Home Videos show blows my mind. Because he was just as much of a dork on that show as well. : I remember seeing him one time as a guest on Letterman or one of those other late night talk shows, and he had some really bizarre jokes and whatnot, and the audience was just completely blown away, partly because it was bizarre and very off-the-wall, but also because of the fact that it was coming out of the mouth of BOB SAGET, the same tool who played Danny Tanner for all those years on television. : : He had a website on Z.COM....before they went bankrupt. He was actually pretty funny. Yes, you heard right, BOB SAGET CAN BE FUNNY. Look, do you think he wrote his own jokes on Full House? HELL NO. Don't confuse BOB SAGET THE COMEDIAN with BOB SAGET THE ACTOR. Bob Saget the actor is a stupid moron who needs to be given the lethal injection. Bob Saget the comedian is an alright guy who would be fun to have at parties. He is quite risque. I really feel sorry for the guy because he is typecast as some unfunny idiot. The guy got incredibly shafted. He stars in Full House and BAM -- his whole world crumbles. Poor Bob. =o\ : : -Cory
