: : Wood endlessly supports a bunch of no-hopers and hangers on (not that he has the power to make them famous anyway). I find him hard to classify in Oldham's system - like Jan said mercurial (the classic 7ish behaviours) don't quite fit, but then neither does narcissistic [sp?] - he's never self-centered as such (in fact is unreasonable benevolent) and his ambitions are more artistic than status/financial. It's more as if he's oblivious anything negative in the real world.
: +++ The Narcissitic Personality comprises much more than the money focussed, egoistical businessman-subtype. In fact what many enneagram books describe as 'E3 type' resembles the cunning sleek variant of the anti social personality (Oldhams adventurous style). The essential thing with the narcissist is the great contrast between the works the narcissistic person actually creates (often not so good) and the idea he has of the grandiosity of his own works. That makes it comical, often. This may be having the idea of being a great inventor, a great poet or great movie maker.

OK that does make sense. I suppose also Wood character IS self-centred (if not in the traditional, self-centred way).

Actually I don't know if you follow British politics much, but we've recently seen the fall from grace of Jeffrey Archer, who struck me as an adventurous E3. I'm still struggling with Oldham, what do you think?
