Salome’s character reminds me in many ways of that of that other femme fatale: Scarlet O’Hara; both were impulsive women who used sexual seduction to get their way and who could react angrily/emotionally when they didn’t get immediately get things their way. Salome seduces an officer to meet John the Baptist in jail (the officer commits suicide because he rightfully feels used by S.), then the femme fatale (or should we say black widow spider-woman?) tries to seduced John and when that doesn’t work, she dances before Herodus and seduces him to behead John. Finally she behaves in a very dramatic way, capturing the attention of everybody around when she kisses the decaptured head when it is offered to her on a disc: theatrical! : Classification of Salome: Dramatic Style of character with adventurous style and mercurial traits high too. : : Jan
