What is the likely E-type of the therapist? What do you think of the treatment he applies? Why? The second I saw her picture, I thought 4w3. The text seemed conssitent with the picture, so to speak: the impressions I got started with that of the self-preservation variants - reckless, dauntless, obsessive; at first, the text suggested the self-preservation variant of E3, which can be hard to distinguish from the same variant in E4, especially from textual sources alone, yet my intuition about the picture was supported as deeper psyche-plunging began to reveal the intimate variant of E4, which is more distinguishable from its E3 parallel. I feel that the intimate variant of E4 is distinguishable by sudden shifts in mood, often apparently motivated by the need to express the self fighting the need to appease others. Also, compare Dr. Naranjo's comments about the "introjected rejecting parent" common to the psyche of E4. Also note that Riso, in his blurb about the 4w3, comments on the resentment this type feels due to coerced self-repression, which is, at core, caused by friction between the need to be approved of and the need to "be one's self." This person reminds me of myself - I am also a self-preservational subtype with a strong ally in the intimate variant. Like her, I'm resilient until pressure arouses anger and resentment of a similar nature to the example posed in this case. I must be off to sleep soon, so I don't have time to get into many details. But I might not mind doing that in the future.... The therapist could have been any type as far as I can see. For the sake of the romantic in me, I might suggest 9 like Jung. :> Thanks for sharing this interesting transcript. - ^(o o)^
