: Well, I do need exercise. Both my sibs and I have slow-ass metabolisms and are overweight. My sister is very overweight, my brother slightly less so, and I am around 15 pounds above my ideal.
: I know I bitch a lot about the Land of the Free. I feel I can do that 'cos I love it so much. Here in Ireland we have a cool, rainy climate, like much of Canada. When I moved to New Jersey, the humidity was a huge shock to me. We sometimes have hot humid days in Ireland, but in the USA humid periods last for months! I was there five weeks before we were blessed with some dry heat. I sweated gallons. I came home a much thinner man!
: I came back quite thinner than before. Over the next few years, I put some of the weight back on, especially during my last stint as an office drone. I never cycled anywhere, and I'd come home exhausted and not exercise.
: Some honest tactless acquaintance told me I'd put on some weight. This was unusual for me. I've always thought of myself as a fat man, but it seems I wa thought of a thin guy who's put on weight.
: Anyway, I'm a lot more active right now. I cycle to and from work, and I assume it's made me fitter. I have an Endomorph body type, so I know I'll never be skinny, and it doesn't bother me.
: One problem, I can't seem to stick to a regime on my Ab roller. I know if I really gave it a good workout every day, I could lose some waist inches off my not-exactly-huge belly, but I just can't stand it.
: I seem to be doing OK with my arm exercises, doing them every day. Maybe it's because the stomach thing is essentially vanity, whereas I can actually USE my arms to do stuff.
: (Actually, the stomach thing would allow me to wear some old clothes I like, so it's not purely vanity)
