The curse of fours, to live solely in the world of our emotions - which are like dogs yanked to and fro on a leash. When our emotions are satisfied and tickled just so, then oh how everything is right with the world, and all we can see are flowers and stars and moons. Two moments later, when our emotions feel a pinch or a kick, then oh how the world is a black and horrid godless wasteland.
One inevitably follows the other, always, which is why I do not envy someone who is high on their emotions.
