Enneagram Type 4 Board Archive Re: The Enneagram Top 40Posted by Andy on July 30, 2000 at 07:28:03: In Reply to: The Enneagram Top 40 posted by Hello Kitty on July 30, 2000 at 04:19:37: : I'm sure you've been wondering: Sure, I know my chief feature and my wing and my direction of integration, but am I still getting the most out of my type? Is there something more I can do to define myself by my type even more? Well, now you no longer have to worry...here are the ideal musical choices for each type: : 1- Church music (the morally correct music to listen to) Jazz, I have noted that ones like bouth happy and sad music depending on their mood. : 2- Any music with subliminal messages (an excellent manipulation tactic) Lovesongs ( a 2w3 once called me and sang the song "I just called to say I love you" over the phone) : 3- Classical music (chance to show off your wealth and "good taste") The enneagram literature does not give the 3 credit for good taste, but I think many 3-s have good taste compared to many types. My experience tells : 4- Country music (my wife left me, my dog ran away, a truck ran over my foot, etc etc) Absolutly not, that are mostly 9 music. Blues are four music. Music like chopin are strongly fourish. Sad emotial music for fours, but not country, that's resigned 9 music......:)
I know fives that like jazz music. Still I think ones and sevens are more likely to be jazz people. I think 5w6 are more jazz people and 5w4 more blues people. 6w7-s have this dammn rap thing, but I know of 6w5's with good taste. Rap music are the worst I know of, I honestly think rap music are for people with no taste. I know someone who likes rap, and can't sing a single clean tone, but she think she does, I guess that's typical of rap lovers. I think that are "out", what's in now are more modern dance music. Of the types, I guess sevens and fives are the ones with that expensive stereo, and special built high end system. Sevens also seems to like jazz. : 8- Heavy metal (for intimidation purposes, of course) I played in a heavy metal band, the types of the other people in the band was as follows : Bass, 4w3 self press ISTP (some times the bass played was absent I had to play bass ) . When I think of it...I know a 3 (ENFP) and a 7 (ISTP) who plays the violin, and have played it about the same time, and the seven plays right and have the talent to get good, but the 3 simply play false and don't have the ears to get good in playing violin...:) 9- Easy listening muzac (a happy medium that will please everyone) : Stay tuned for more explorations into the magical land of the enneagram.
