I have nick-names for my parents, brother and sister- odd derivations of their first names.....Even more weird is the rest of my family adopted these names too. Example: My Mom's name is Barbara-so I call her "Babs" and after years of being known in the family as Babs....my brother's kids call her Grandbabs. (I won't go into the rest of the names but these affectionate names really keep us connected. :o) Isn't that funny?
