Recently read a book on Highly Sensitive Persons and it read to me as a book on the 4 type. As an HSP, I find myself to be very reactive to others perceptions of me. My 5 wing then kicks in {if the perception is unfairly critical and negative} and I realize it is folly to get upset........ at least until the next time. Since early childhood, I have enjoyed my own company; taking long walks and finding inspiration from the most mundane sights around me. Loud, intrusive people {on these walks or elsewhere} greatly annoy me. I don't like my reveries interrupted nor do I appreciate anyone's misreading of me. > I did much analyzing and found I learnt some of these reactions early on from my elders. Realized that they were just as confused and subject to emotions as I am now.{When one is young, he looks at his elders as being "perfect" and in possession of the right way}. As a result of my soulsearching, I am more able to transcend, yet I keep slipping back from time to time. God bless that 5 wing of mine! > Still I have a great need for space..... as 4's and 5's both do, and much prefer the loner life. But I also maintain a starry eyed and naive view of life, prefering this to becoming hard, jaded, cynical {3 ways to convey the same thing}. I still believe there's an answer out there. Still hope to find that chord of harmony. > I look to the spiritual as my hope for the future. I think of planet Earth as a testing ground and nothing more. I accept the "fact" that life isn't fair, but think there is a spiritual balance beyond our eyes. Hence we are meant to learn patience, tolerance, compassion in our lives. > Much of what we call luck, I believe to be fate. Fate to me explains all of the outcomes and events in life. Some call me too passive for believing this. I reply that they would save themselves much agony by accepting a belief in destiny. Don't know if this is my 5 or my 9 that is fortressing my creative 4, or even if it is just another part of BEING 4........ but it doesn't really matter in the long run.
