The Second, newer test is much more accurate. The first test doesnt include the Serious style because at the time of publication, Oldham did not have a Serious style. It was only in further revisions and research did he base a personality style on the Depressive Personality Disorder. It would be safe to assume that the second test is more reflective of your personality.

: it would be fun if anyone had any ideas about my enneagram/MBTI type based on my Oldham Results...

Don't worry. I have an obsession with doing this to people.

: And aren't Dramatic and Serious sort of contradictory types? Maybe scoring high on both just makes me a very critical/sober
: dramatic type, meaning that when I make scenes they tend to be about sober things, such as "Oh woe is me, why did my button
: have to fall off my shirt AGAIN?!?!" prior to bursting into tears. =o) (Actually, that does sound kinda like me on a bad day)

Contradictory types exist. In Oldham's book he mentions alot of Conscientious-Dramatic individuals. For example, with me I scored high on Sensitive, Solitary, and Dramatic! Sensitive doesnt like attention, Dramatic does. Solitary feels little emotion, Dramatic is all emotion. But the truth is, they all apply to me. Since Sensitive and Solitary dominate, I may FEEL very strongly inside but keep it inside. I would consider Sensitive and Solitary to be my "defenses" against the world. Of course, under stress these walls break down and you can see my emotionally flamboyant Dramatic style. This happened during jury duty. Normally I was very quiet, logical, and reasonable but under stress I became a SCREAMING, cussing, martyristic Dramatic personality.

: Second Test
:Dramatic: 40
:Serious: 37
:Sensitive/ Leisurely: 34
:Mercurial/ Idiosyncratic: 31
:Self-Sacrificing: 30
:Adventurous/ Self Confident: 20
:Vigilant: 17
:Devoted/ Conscientious: 12
:Solitary: 11
:Aggressive: 7

Rough guess: 4w3 ENFP. Your dominant Dramatic style says you prefer extraversion. However, its balanced out by Serious, Sensitive, and Idiosyncratic. Therefore I would say youre in between, but preferring extraversion. It's clear that you strongly prefer feeling. Dramatic leads and Solitary (the most logical/rational) is at the bottom. Leisurely vs Conscientious scores indicate you have a P not a J.

Your top scores (Serious, Sensitive, Mercurial, Self-Sacrificing) are all Fourish so I think Four is your base type. The Idiosyncratic, and maybe the Serious type relate to the 5 wing, but the Dramatic says youre a 3 wing. However, the most threeish of the styles, Self-Confident is in the middle. Then again, the most fivish of the styles, Solitary is at the way bottom.

So I would say you are a 4w3 ENFP but the 3 wing and the Extraversion arent all that strong.
