I have a little "trick" that works for me, I tell myself that I am a member of a large organization of fellow sufferers and that we should walk proud because of our special condition. : Every single thing I do, it seems to be there. For example, yesterday I went into a library to drop off a job application, and I almost turned and walked out because I was so nervous being in there. And why? They need workers, it's a perfect job for an INFP, quiet and such. I'm so scared of meeting new people, of going to new places, even just talking to a customer service person on the phone gets me in a panic attack.

: I'm going to be meeting John's parents in December, and already I'm scared. I want them to like me, and blah blah blah, but I'm so scared I'll be too shy and quiet for them to like me. People like talkative extraverts. I'm even nervous around my OWN family.

: People used to want me to go and do things with them in high school, and so often I said no because I was afraid. I didn't know what would happen, I didn't know where we'd go, it was just so scary.

: Anyway, do you guys have APD at all? How bad is it for you?
